Hi there,
Once you complete your Ph1 basic/ Ph2 trade training, you will be able to note your posting preferences (PPP), indicating where you'd like to go (or locations you wish to avoid). Your choices will be taken into consideration.
Whilst many will be offered their first choice, occasionally you will be posted elsewhere. It's ultimately dependant on the jobs available and the needs of the army. For example, when I completed my AAC training, there was a need for soldiers at Wattisham, so this is where I was posted, although it was not my first choice. You just need to make the most of every posting opportunity!
Hope that helps.
