Hello,
On the whole, yes, it is possible to volunteer for deployments.
You cannot volunteer for all deployments, but if you do not have other commitments with your unit, and there is a deployment that currently does not have a doctor (of the correct level of qualification) then you could ask to go. Some deployments can be quite competitive, particularly when you are a GDMO.
