Additional information

Hi there! Just looking for clarification on tattoo policy. I have a tattoo on my neck but it is behind the ear line and doesn't encroach on the front of the throat. Also not visible on a passport picture. It is however, above the collar line. Will I have to get this removed before applying?. Cheers.

Hi, from what you've described, you shouldn't have any issues. The policy states that:

You cannot join the British Army with offensive, obscene, or racist tattoos, or tattoos on your face or the front of your neck. Tattoos on the hands and back of the neck are generally acceptable, though the saluting hand (right) should remain clean. You can check your specific tattoos by referring to the British Army's official tattoo policy or contacting your local Army Careers Centre.

Hope this helps.
