Regimental Medical Officer
Hello,
Army general duties medical officers (GDMOs) and GPs work in military medical centres/surgeries. Army doctors in other specialties work within their chosen field. For example, an Army Emergency Medicine Doctor will work in an A&E department.
All doctors joining the Army prior to specialty training will complete medical school and their foundation years before doing 3 years as a GDMO (those 3 years includes the short commissioning course and postgraduate medical officers course).
I hope that helps.
