Hi, Officers don't tend to get trade quals like soldiers do when they join but get more leadership and management type qualifications. The Army is fully committed to self development and each year every individual is entitled to Standard Learning Credits (£175) this money is to pay for or go towards a qualification so there is no reason why you couldn't enrol on some sort of trade course. People do evening college courses or OU courses or just 2+ days away courses (that the army support). Hope this helps answer your question.
