Good Morning Pietro and thanks for your question.
Unfortunately there isn't any regiment which i know of that involves gliding. But i can safely say that your skills you may have gained from gliding will be very useful for a career in the army!
The closest we have in the army would be within the Army Air Corps, where we have a wide range of jobs and opportunities available working with our military helicopters. This can be refuelling and re-arming, groundcrew signalling, pilots and so much more.
Unlike the Royal Air Force, you don't have to join as an officer with extra qualifications to become a pilot, we regularly employ soldiers and train them as pilots after just a small amount of time in the Army.
As well as all of this, if you choose to join the army, you will regularly get opportunities for something we call Adventurous Training. This includes all kinds of activates such as mountain biking, rock climbing, canoeing, kayaking and so much more. Included in this would also be gliding. So you could still find yourself getting those opportunities within the army to do all of your favourite activities whilst also gaining some funding for it through the army too.
Hopefully a colleague of mine from the Army Air Corps will be able to elaborate further with any of their experiences with gliding but that's the most of my knowledge on it.
Hope that helps and if you have any more questions then feel free to ask.

Hi Pietro,
I'm not too sure about what the United States Air Force have to offer, that would be a question you would have to ask their team and about their rate of pay. You could potentially train as an instructor in the British Army too, we have alot of our soldiers whom train as Adventurous Training Instructors that can be in a variety of areas. But you would have to select a specific role you would like to do in the Army First.
I believe the closest Careers Office to you would be ACC Cambridge,
You can give them a call to book an appointment if you wish. Their contact number is: 01223 301673
Hope this helps
