Hi, yes you will be able to use your phone but there will be occasions when you can’t as it may impact you training. For example, if you are on exercise or tactical scenarios its not appropriate for you to have them on you.

Your mobile phone will be expected to stay in your locker during the working day unless told otherwise by your training team staff.
Due to the learning curve in basic training, a mobile phone will only be a distraction.
There will be periods you will be allowed to use it for research etc
Hope this answers your question

During the working day, when your phones are locked away and you are in lessons or away from camp, your families and friends are given a contact number that can be called if any emergencies that require your attention arise.
