The Royal Military Police deploys to every location that has members of the British Army deployed. This means that we get to deploy to a lot of places around the world alongside our colleagues from other trade groups. In addition, the Royal Military Police is responsible for providing Close Protection to embassy locations around the world. This is a specialist bodyguard service provided to officials who need it. This additional responsibility means that we can also deploy to locations in which we are the only members of the British Army deployed there. That is one of the great things about life in the Royal Military Police, we have such diverse opportunities to deploy all over the world.

If very much depends on what you are being deployed on, it could be on exercise ranging from a couple weeks to a couple months, whereas certain tours can last up to 6 months. It can vary dependent on your job role.
