The AGC has a Phase 2 which is now known as Trade Training. The length depends on which branch of the AGC you join; SPS or RMP. The SPS Trade Training is 14 weeks at Worthy Down Winchester with an extra two weeks if driving license is required. The extra two weeks are optional depending on availability of places. The RMP Trade Training takes 26 weeks with an extension if car, lorry and trailer license are required.

I did two separate courses years ago and they added up to less than the 15 weeks Phase 2. Is it all at Worthy Down or do you do PT/AT as well?

Hi Auden! Thanks for your question. SPS Trade Training is still 14-15 weeks long at Worthy Down, the length of the course depending on if personnel do the driver training at the end if they haven’t already got their full driving licence. PT is still conducts during training but there is no AT. Hope this helps! If you have anymore questions, please get in touch!

Thanks I served 1997-2000 then spent 13 years in RAF admin. Last post was MPGS which I left in 2017 and am now looking at the rejoiner scheme so will see how that plans out re Phase 2 training or straight to unit.
