No you don't and they will teach you when you get to trade training

Hello, are chef roles open to anyone from the general public or will candidates have to go through the same military assessments as others?

My mother is a trainee cook/chef and she is considering a change of scenery!

So you will apply for the Army like everyone else going through the same selection process and basic training as you will still be a soldier first and foremost, but you won't have any extra tests to get into that role
