I obtained my PPL privately in 2020, would this improve my chances of being considered for AAC during Sandhurst? Thanks!

Hi, thanks for your question.
Congratulations on gaining your PPL - that's great stuff, especially during a pandemic!
Whilst this might help you on grading (the final stage of the pilot selection process) it won't necessarily guarantee you a place on the pilots course. You still need to successfully complete Sandhurst and be chosen at the interview stage.
In my experience, colleagues who already have a PPL find the aptitude tests and grading a lot easier but ultimately you need to be up the standard as an officer too.
I hope that helps answer your question.
Take care,
Maddie
