Hi there,
Thank you for your question.
All soldiers will initially serve at the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment following basic training. After completing the riding course, of up to 22 weeks, they will serve as a Mounted Dutyman for approximately 18 months. They will then move to the Household Cavalry Regiment in Bulford, and complete their armoured fighting vehicle training.
Throughout their career, most soldiers spend further time at both Regiments.
