Can a household cavalry or infantry officer gain any trade qualifications?

As an officer you don't gain trade qualifications as part of your role like soldiers do. You do leadership and management quals. If you wanted to learn a trade, the army encourages that with standard learning credits that can go towards a course, whether that's online or at a local college (evening course or something).
