my son applied but because he tested positive COVID he has to wait a year until applying again is this true?

He tested positive in May and has isolated as instructed but now he’s saying he has to wait a full year before applying just wanted to see if he’s telling the truth

No this is not true. As long as medically he is fine and passes the medical having COVID does not mean he has to wait a year! If he's telling you that though he's obviously not too keen in joining ;)
