can I join the parachute regiment after being a normal infantry soldier,eg a light role infantry?

Hi, yes. You could transfer to the Paras. If you are currently serving you need to speak with your RCMO who will be able to give you more advice. You may need to have a recommendation too and it will also depend on space available in the Paras. You could look at perhaps just doing P Company rather than whole transfer but again, your RCMO can speak with you about that.
