Hi Liam, Thanks for your question.
In your time in the Household Cavalry, you will become experienced both as a ceremonial soldier and a combat soldier, so you will most likely spend your first period of your career in London with the ceremonial unit.
Following this, you will get the chance to move to where the armoured unit is based, This is primarily where you will see more deployments and travel with training exercises and more.
Recently alot of our work has been focused on training due to us taking on the huge responsibility of being the first unit to field the new AJAX armoured fighting vehicle. This, as you can imagine, requires a lot of testing and developing and it's our soldiers whom are working to get that completed.
Once the training is complete, we will then be a very active unit, conducting plenty of deployments and training in numerous locations. By the time you join, we should be in that phase and you will be able to benefit from gaining those experiences, travelling to new countries and putting everything you have done in training into practice.
So unfortunately i can't give you an exact amount of times you would look at getting any deployments, but i can assure you that a career in the Household Cavalry is guaranteed to give you these opportunities and so much more on a regular basis.
Hope that answers your question
