Hi Oliver,
A CMT could go on to apply to become an officer, but if they were successful they would no longer be a CMT.
Some CMTs become nurses and become officers that way, others may apply directly to go to RMAS, in which case they could change cap badge, or if they like the RAMC they could become a Medical Support Officer.
