Anyone serving in her majesty’s forces can attend an all arms commando course.
If you visit this link, it will give you an outline of the requirements to attend one and what you will be required to pass to achieve a pass

As for the benefits, the ability to be attached and work with Royal Marines and the ability to wear a dagger on your arm.
