Hello thank you for your question.
If you are looking to be a driver in the Army, there are two main roles. One within the Royal Engineers and one within the Royal Logistic Corps. Both do not require any formal qualifications to join including a driving licence and you will gain all the required licences throughout training.
Royal Engineers Driver requires a slightly higher fitness standard which is Mid thigh pull at 118kgs, Medicine ball throw 3.1m and 2km run in 10m 45s (11m 30s for junior). Royal Logistic driver requires Mid thigh pull 46kgs, medicine ball throw 3.1m, and 2km run 11m 15s (30s for junior).
For more information on both roles, please visit the following URLs
Royal Engineers Driver - https://apply.army.mod.uk/roles/royal-engineers/driver-royal-engineers
Royal Logistic Driver - https://apply.army.mod.uk/roles/royal-logistic-corps/driver
If you are looking at starting your application, you can do this online at https://apply.army.mod.uk/login
I hope this helps
Zoe
