Regimental Medical Officer
Hi Ronnie,
The medical requirements for the Army are very extensive as they take into account all manner of medical conditions. Generally speaking the individual should be medically fit, so have no long standing injuries and not require any medication (there are some specific exceptions to this rule which are looked at on a case by case basis). They will be required to pass a vision test and hearing test at their medical. Full details on what is involved in the medical examination can be found on our website.
If you have a specific enquiry, we are unfortunately unable to answer individual medical enquiries on this forum.
During the application process if you do not meet the requirement you will be informed why and given information on how to proceed.
