Regimental Medical Officer
Hi Charli,
The day to day role of a CMT will vary depending on where they are posted. For instance, a CMT attached to a unit in a clinical role will assist the medical centre with running 'sick parade' (each morning soldiers can turn up for assessment of any acute injuries or illnesses), they will also provide medical cover during PT and go on exercise to provide medical cover with their regiment. So CMTs in those jobs may find they help people on a day to day basis.
A CMT could also be attached to a medical regiment, in this job they are likely to spend more time working with equipment and doing maintenance. They may still go on exercise with their regiment, or with other regiments in a clinical role. So while they are still clinical and will get regular clinical teaching, they may not help people every day.
I hope that helps answer your question.
