Hi there, Thanks for your question. The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards are a light cavalry regiment who provide reconnaissance. Their role is to provide a continuous stream of timely, accurate information to commanders so they can make important tactical decisions. However, in addition to this they are trained to fight enemy combatants using a wide range of equipment, from Sharpshooter rifles and machine guns to mortars and anti-tank missiles. There is every chance you could fulfil one of these specialist roles if you are selected for, and pass the relevant cadre. They operate out of the Jackal 2 and the Coyote tactical support vehicle, and their light, agile force means they can be deployed quickly and are very reactive. I hope this helps. Katie
