Hi Kayleigh, both roles travel a lot. HR move around every 2 to 3 years all over the country and overseas, also with regular deployments overseas. Operator Technical Intelligence tend to be based in the UK with oversea deployments.

Thanks. Do you need to have any language qualifications to become a linguist or can you literally start from scratch? I have a-levels and a degree...but not in a language.

Operator Military Intelligence
No, you do not need a language qualification, however you must pass the Modern Language Aptitude Test at Int Corps Selection to be considered. Once you have completed training and done a year or so as an OPTI, you will be sent on an 18 month intensive language course!

You will be briefed on the test at selection, however it is not something you can prepare for, you are either good at it or not (I was not)!
