Technical Support Specialist - Senior Instructor

Hi there,

Thanks for you question!

Simply put, the Technician turns the tool, the Technical Support Specialist (or TSS as it's known) puts that tool in his or her hand. Where a Technician is responsible for the repair of vehicles and systems, a Technical Support Specialist is responsible for the maintenance, inspection, procurement and distribution of equipment.

As a TSS soldier the variety in your employment changes in accordance with posting and rank as we also fulfil to military training delivery for REME soldiers as instructors and also provide assurance and inventory management and forecasting for the Officer in Command.

I hope this has answered your question?

Kind Regards,

Jay
