I like the idea of being able to travel with the Army. How much of this can I expect after completing training?

The amount of travel varies depending on your unit your part of and what taskings are coming up. Adventure Training is a great way to do some traveling between deployments.
My first posting was Germany and with adventure training I got to travel to Denmark, Finland, Bavaria, Jordan and Canada over the years.
Some people are always away traveling and being sent to great countries, make sure you volunteer for things as that has always been how I got the opportunities I had.

As a Technical Support Specialist in the REME I have worked in multiple countries. I think visited might be a bit of a stretch!
Canada (for about 3 years in total)
Italy
Kuwait
Iraq
Kenya
Cyprus
Germany
are the ones that come to mind immediately. The British Army can operate in any environment and that includes the REME. Train hard, fight easy! So we complete tough training all round the world so when we deploy, we are ready.
If you want to know more, let me know.
