Hello,
There are lots of serving officers and soldiers who complete degrees while serving. I haven't gone down this pathway myself so I am afraid I can't give you much help on the details!

This is usually how most soldiers will fund further education, I am not sure if there are restrictions on what you can use it for but I have seen colleagues use it for a huge variety of courses.
