Army Basic Training for those going the soldier route (18yrs+) is 14 wks. After this you move to ‘phase 2’ which is trade (role/job) specific training and that time depends of on 5e cap badge you join. Joining as an officer is 44 weeks at The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst before starting your Young Officers (YOs) course (this also has other names depending on capbadge ie ‘troopies’, ‘Detties’ etc) much like soldier training this is capbadge dependent on duration.
