Any advice for a 33 year old joining?
Additional information
I am 33 and feel that I need more purpose in my career, I am thinking of joining the Royal Engineers but I already have a bricklaying Level 2 certificate so I am not sure if I can choose to do this? I am also a lot older than most other applicants so I dont know how this will affect me in training and overall progression

Unfortunately you are now too old to join the Regular Army (32yrs 11months) is the cut off. You could however look at joining your local Army Reserves? The RE have a national reserve unit too so may be worth considering. Many Army Reservists tend to be a little bit older so you may find yourself training with people of a similar age. Speak with your local Army Careers Centre or just give your local Army Reserves unit a call for more information before you start your application if you are unsure. Really good luck with whatever you choose to do.
