There are some similarities - a psychometric test although the officer one is harder, there are also maths and English elements of that test that are harder for officers. Officers have to produce an essay on a given subjects (you are able to choose from a few) and also produce a written planning exercise that soldiers don't do. A soldier assessment is 2 days whilst an officer assessment is 2 days (Army Officer Selection Board Briefing (AOSBB) as a pre assessment almost) and then 4 days (depending on the result of the AOSBB). The time itself shows the number of more 'tests' required at officer selection. I hope this helps.
