Hi Stanley, thanks for your question.
If you are referring to careers in Army music, you can find all the information about our audition process and entry requirements here:
https://apply.army.mod.uk/roles/corps-of-army-music/musician
You can't learn an instrument from scratch while serving, and we are ideally looking for candidates to be a minimum of around ABRSM Grade 6 or equivalent when they audition. However, don't let any of that stop you from applying, as we are seeking musical potential not the finished article.
You can check out more about Army Music at our website here: https://www.army.mod.uk/who-we-are/corps-regiments-and-units/royal-corps-of-army-music/ or Facebook page here: www.facebook.com/Royalcorpsofarmymusic. If you want to find out more detail about our careers then fill in our contact form here and one of the team will get back to you: forms.gle/hth5FLA9hD43HXYz7.
Keep in touch!
