Hi, if you join the Army Reserves then yes as you choose what unit you go to and it would usually be close to where you reside/work now. If you join the Regulars then you have an opportunity to request where you go (from a jobs list) but there is no guarantee that you will get it. There is no guarantee that you could spend most of your career in one place although the army is really trying to cut down the number of moves.
