Hello,
There is no perfect answer for this, the CMT role and Army Medical Services in general require a variety of different skill sets.
That being said good communication skills are vital to the role especially when operating in challenging environments and with a variety of people, with this comes being empathetic and professional. You need to be calm under pressure and be able to work logically through problems.
The CMT may be one of the first on the scene to deal with a variety of different injuries or illnesses, confidence is key to this however equally important is knowing when you are out of your depth and being able to ask for help from those more skilled and qualified.
I hope this helps.
