Hi Joseph,
To be eligible to attempt Selection you must have completed 24 months adult service from date of enlistment. Once your application has been accepted you will have to complete The Briefing and Assessment Course (BAC).
The course is five days long, based in South Wales. It assesses candidates across three main areas: fitness, navigation and information assimilation. It aims to provide candidates with as much information about Selection as possible, including how best to prepare. A number of question and answer sessions allow candidates to learn more about UKSF and the individual units within the group.
Those who successful pass the briefing course you will get offered a start date to attend selection.
Hope this helps.
