Hi Frazer the PODP course is offered to those who are seeking to commission from being a soldier or those who have passed the Army Officer Selection Briefing or Board with a need for some further development. For a direct entrant, you will need the 72 UCAS points at A-Level or equivalent. For a soldier entry it will be different and case by case but yes likely to also need GCSEs.
