Hi Christopher!

I left comprehensive school with no qualifications what so ever, it hasn’t stopped me achieving what I have achieved.

Whilst in the infantry training centre and most other training establishments you will be required to do education. I have redone my education to a higher standard I could achieve in school.

The army pay something called Standard Learning Credits (SLC) at approx £170 per year to use on education etc. They also have higher Enhanced Learning Credits (ELC) depending on time served (4 years minimum) £1000-£2000 per year to be used 3 times to spend on courses to gain qualifications in whatever you choose if it meets certain criteria.

Regards

J
