Hello,
I am afraid military doctors don't have much to do with entry medicals as that is all done by the recruitment team, however I will try my best to answer your question.
The army does require you to have a certain level of hearing in both ears, but it does not need to be perfect, although for some job roles it will need to better than others. At your entry medical they will perform a hearing test on both ears and compare your results to the current guidelines on entry requirements. It may be that although one ear is worse than the other, you still meet the required level of hearing.
So in short, it is still worth applying!
