I have congenital cataract and wear very strong glasses, would this prevent me from having a successful application?

We can't answer specific medical queries here, but if you start an application on the Army website, the Medical team will be able to speak to your in more detail and give you a clearer answer. Very generally speaking, any candidates with cataracts would have to be discussed with a specialist, so while some candidates may be suitable, others may not. In terms of your glasses, the Army does ask for your prescription to meet certain standards, last time I check it needed to be better than either -6.00 or +6.00, however the guidelines are always being updated so it is best to confirm this when you apply.
