Reconnaissance Platoon soldier
Hi Lewis
Thanks for your question.
Infantry recce platoons come under a combat role.
To be a reconnaissance soldier, you first need to complete your 28 week Combat Infantryman Course at the Infantry training centre.
Once you have passed out of training, you will be allocated a company where you will gain the knowledge required to then go on a recce cadre. If successful you’ll then move in to the reconnaissance platoon.
Recce soldiers need to be fit, motivated and at the top of their game with a map and a compass.
Regards
J
