Regimental Medical Officer
Lots!
I have travelled to places I would never normally have the opportunity to visit, I have had access to sports and coaching at no (or very little) cost, I have been able to go on interesting and useful courses. I would highly recommend it!

James A.
Reconnaissance Platoon soldier
Coming from a housing estate in South Wales where crime, drugs and prison is the norm.
I joined the army at 17 and have travelled all across the world for free, I’ve got a lot of qualifications and transferable skills gained in the army. If I wished to leave the army I could find employment at a decent level with the qualifications the army has provided me.
This doesn’t include sports and adventurous training qualifications and courses I am qualified in.
I’m now 30 and don’t intend on leaving anytime soon

Too many to mention! A Masters Degree, specialist post-graduate level qualifications, and deployments for operations, exercises and adventurous training all around the world including training in Jordan, skydiving in California, paragliding in Germany, skiing in France and scuba-diving in Egypt. All for little or no personal contribution, because the Army invests in my development.
