Corporal, Adjutant General's Corps, Staff and Personnel Support AGC(SPS).
Hello! I think this will be a really useful discussion if people from different cap badges are involved and can share their stories.
I joined the Army when I was 18 and originally joined the Royal Logistic Corps as a Movement Controller. I was posted to South Cerney near Swindon. During this time, I travelled to Kenya with work and also France, Germany, Austria for sports. I enjoyed my time as a Movement Controller but I needed a new challenge so after three years, I decided to transfer to the Staff and Personnel Support Branch within the Adjutant General's Corps as a HR Specialist. On completion of training, I was posted to 21 Engineer Regiment in Ripon, North Yorkshire. During this time I travelled to Chile, Nepal, Spain and Malta with work and thoroughly enjoyed it. I was there for three years, promoted to Lance Corporal and then on completion of my posting and promoted again to Corporal, I was posted to Worthy Down near Winchester to be a part of the Adjutant General's Corps Engagement Team. I now travel to schools, colleges and events to speak with the public about my role in the Army.
This April will mark my 8 year point and I have loved every single day.

Regimental Medical Officer
Hi Joshua, as Zoe suggested I'll share a brief story as well.
I joined the Army as a direct entrant medical officer after working for the NHS during my first two years as a doctor. I completed the Professionally Qualified Officers course at RMAS (now the short commissioning course). After this I worked as a General Duties Medical Officer for just over 2 years before starting training to become a GP, or Regimental Medical Officer. While I was a GDMO I spent time in Brunei, Oman and parts of Africa, as well as lots of time skiing in France and Austria. While I was in the UK I split my time between 4 Armoured Medical Regiment and working at a military medical centre near Gloucester.
I'm still relatively new to the military, but have had a great time so far!
