Anyone from any cap badge is eligible to attempt SAS selection. Being in the Paras first could possibly assist you with the fitness elements of selection and you may be able to serve with SFSG (1 PARA) and gain some insight too.

Yes,
All SF roles - SRR/SAS/SBS/SF communicator are open to Male and female applicants to any cap badge. I believe there is a minimum time served in unit to gain the required reports and experience before you can apply to attend an SF briefing course which lasts for 5 days.
