Army Air Corps Engagement Team Warrant Officer

Hi Jake,

Thank you, great question.
The straight forward answer is yes, for both job roles.
The REME Corps as a whole can apply for specialist roles such and the All Arms Comando course and Para Training - P Company.
Using the REME as an example, you will complete basic training and qualify in trade. Then after a period of time and experience as a Soldier, you can apply for a specific specialist subsidiary role. There are other specialist professional qualifications and roles open to most cap badges within the British Army including human intelligence, reconnaissance and of course special forces, to name a few.
I will reiterate here, that specialist roles all come with their individual pre-requisites - one of them being 4-8 years experience as a soldier first.

I would also like to invite Dave O. to add his experience and perspective in this area?

Hope this helps?
