What can a GP do in the Army Reserves ?

He could absolutely do hs general medical doctor duties but he/she could do anything else also if you fancied something different. We have civilian lawyers who are infanteers for example.

How does training with the army to be a biomedical scientist in the army work? Because it involves a degree does it mean you go to the uni and study there for the 3 academic years and do nothing with the army or do you live on an army base and study?

Do Soldiers often become Officers? Do they train in role or would they need to go to Sandhurst?

Hi @ Eleanor W, thank you for your question! You would complete your 14 weeks Basic Training prior to going to university, and then you would complete your BSc in Biomedical Science at the Royal College of Defence Medicine at Brimingham and Aston University.

If you apply to the army to be a biomedical scientist or radiographer in august does that mean you would do the degree part of the training in the September of the next year because it takes time to do assessment and phase 1 first?
