Do you get to pick what band you are a part of? Or are they assigned? How does that process work.

Hi there
All regular musicians are part of the Corps of Army Music so depending on what instrument you play, you can be assigned to one of 10 locations across the UK.
Every musician requests where they would like to serve and the chain of command tries to accommodate.
Hope this helps.
