I'm really intrested in light infantry but I've been told I will struggle when I'm out if I don't have a "proper trade"

Great question first an foremost

you can gain many qualifications while in a light infantry role but all i can say is that if you want a trade and feel that is want you want to get out of the army then i would look into other job roles that might suit.

please don't let this put you off joining the infantry like i said there are jobs in the infantry that we do that can get you jobs in civilian street

There are plenty of qualifications available to infantry. I joined with nothing and i have gained so many qualifications . Most of which are civilian transferable.

As mentioned above, don’t let this put you off joining if that’s what your passionate about joining.
