Can a non ceremonial/combat role still do CoD? (Such as JCR or 13 Sig)
Additional information
Example: Joint Cyber Reserve 13 Signal Regiment Intelligence Corps Can they still do Corps of Drums (even if the regiment hasn't their own)

Hi Brad, thanks for your question.
Unfortunately there wouldn't be a routine opportunity for those in a Regiment or Corps who do not have a dedicated Corps of Drums to take part it that sort of activity.
The Royal Signals do have Pipes and Drums however. They perform at events and are drawn from across the Regiment, Regular and Reserve.
If you were interested in joining a Corps of Drums specifically and having that role as part of your day job, you would need to join a Regiment like the Royal Logistic Corps who have a full time Corps of Drums which soldiers can elect to join, or other Infantry Battalions like the five Regiments of Foot Guards who's Corps of Drums have a dual role. They act as the Machine Gun Platoon in the Support Company of the Battalion, but also have a ceremonial role, performing at events like Trooping the Colour and Changing of the Guard.
I hope that helps - you can find out more about the Army application process here: https://apply.army.mod.uk/how-to-join
