how long would it take to become a sniper and do i have to have any real combat experience to start sniper school?

Reconnaissance Platoon soldier
The sniper course is one of the hardest courses in the British Army for obvious reason. You have to be at the top of your skills and abilities to be selected.
The course is 9 weeks long and is extremely arduous.
Unsure on medical standards.
