Hi Newlyn, thanks for your question.

Are you asking about Army Air Corps specific soldiers? If so, all of our soldiers will complete basic training at either Pirbright, Winchester or Harrogate if they join at 16 or 17. They then move onto their phase 2 training at Middle Wallop which is specific AAC training.

They are then generally streamed into either a signaller role or ground support role; you can find lots more information about these two roles on the AAC part of the British Army website.

Some of these soldiers may then decide to go on and become aircrew, either as a pilot or crewman. Whereas others will continue to build their career in the stream they are already in.

I hope that helps to answer your question.

Have a nice rest of the weekend,
Maddie
