Hi there, thanks for your question and hope you have had a great Christmas!

British Army Music employ professional musicians performing on all Woodwind, Brass, Percussion and String instruments, including piano. Guitarists, Vocalists and other instruments are also employed, but the individual will also be required to perform in a Wind or Brass band, or our String Orchestra.

For example, if you currently play the Guitar, you may be able to take an audition to join us on that instrument, but if successful would also need to be willing, and demonstrate the potential, to learn another instrument, eg. clarinet, that features in our one of our core ensembles (Wind Band, Brass Band or String Orchestra).

Perhaps you could let us know what instrument you play and we would be able to advise you further more specifically?

In the meantime, check out what we get up to on social media:

Have a look at our section on the British Army website for more information on how to apply:

or fill out this form here and our engagement team will get back to you: https://forms.gle/hth5FLA9hD43HXYz7

Stay in touch, and thanks again for your question!
