You need at least a grade c / 4 in maths - a Level 2 in Functional Skills is alternative to a GCSE Maths C grade and therefore is acceptable. If you are at university it may be worth looking at joining the University Officer Training Corps (UOTC) too or at least speaking to them if you are thinking of applying to become an Army Officer as they may well take you under their wing (so to speak). Good luck.
